I’ve had the pleasure, recently, to deliver a gorgeous fall colored bouquet of fresh flowers for a client that found us via the web. Because BiZi Bee is a studio floral shop, the web (bizibeefloral.com) and phone (206-883-5522) are the best ways to place an order with me. BiZi Bee used to be located in a retail storefront, which as you know, can generate a lot of overhead. With our new model (studio), we’re able to keep our prices very reasonable and offer the same great service we always have. And offer the freshest product out there, since we do buy from local farms and direct from the growers. Organic and Veriflora certified products.

But, back to the topic of “Birthday” flowers. I know that there are those among us that are somewhat like me. I always want my birthday to be the most special. Even if I work, I still want my loved ones to remember me on this day…even if I’m getting older! :) From cards to a nice dinner out, flowers are always a great way to recognize that special someone on their special day! We all want to feel special and to know that someone remembered that ?? years ago, we were born and in knowing us it makes their life a little better. Say it with flowers and a card. Let them know that you care!

So, give me a call and I’ll be able to help you figure out what flowers will help you say “Happy Birthday”!

Here we are: Wedding Season.  I can tell you that I am so very thrilled to be doing some awesome weddings this summer.  Wedding work is definately a favorite of mine.  It’s such a wonderful time to be involved with some amazing clients!  Being in love is unto itself..and for me, I get to help express your love on a very important day..your wedding day!

Being that BiZi Bee deals with organic, VeriFlora certified and local product, I like to incorporate these into the wedding events that I do.  I was sad to learn, on a recent outing to my local farms (Bothell and Woodinville), that the planting season came a little later than anticipated this year.  We had such a long winter and late Spring that many of my farms weren’t able to plant their crops until late May instead of late April as they usually do.

What this means for you: those wonderful flowers like amaranthus, dahlias, zinnia, and the like won’t be available (locally) until late July early August.  But, don’t fret…we can still get these flowers (they may be a little more costly than usual) from other places..mainly California and Canada.  So, my advice to you, if your planning  a June or July wedding, make sure to talk to your florist (I am availble to take questions via the phone as well: 206-883-5522) about the best flowers that will be available and if you have your heart set on local product only, then August and September would be awesome months to be married, as this is when most of the great locally grown flowers will be coming out.

Peonies and calla lillies that are locally grown, are nearing their end in late June this year.  They’re available from other sources until about the first few days of july.  I can tell you that the delphinium and freesia are gorgeous right now!

I have a gorgeous wedding that I will be doing this weekend for Megan and Josh that is a green “Green” wedding..meaning the flowers that are being used are that fantastic lime green colors and creams, they’re Veriflora certified and the containers for the centerpieces are totally recyclable and made from recycled materials (they’re called BlumeBoxes!)  I look forward to posting the pics on the site for all to see.

I hope this helped you out a little.  Please feel free to email me from here or give me a call.  My name is Heather and I would love to hear from you!  206-883-5522
