You wouldn’t believe it, but here at BiZi Bee Floral in Seattle, we actually carry some gorgeous hand crafted jewelry that is locally made by local artists. It’s fun, it’s unique, it’s at our flower shop.

We always wanted to be a little different than other flower shops and one way that we made that happen is by opening our doors to local vendors/artists to share our space to display their beautiful work.

We’ve got jewelry by Banu and jewelry by C. Hern. Their jewelry is made with the best jems and stones. The colors are fantastic! I love finding new and cool items that I can wear and get compliments about…so if you’re in the mood to do a little shopping, you gotta come check it out.

Something that would be fun to do would be to have some fantastic organic flowers delivered in a interesting artistic vase with an awesome one-of-a-kind piece of jewelry attached to your love. Asiatic lilies are a ton of fun. They come in whites, creams, yellows, oranges, reds and burgundy. Seemingly, when first arranging them in a vase, their magnificence is only a promise. After all, when obtained fresh, they are often unopened. But look at the picture above left! We have discovered this lovely, orange Asiatic lily just in time to witness it awakening to the world. Has anyone noticed that things are looking better all the time in Lake City? Seattle has a real hip urban feel…sometimes too hip. We like the Lake City neighborhood, because it still has some of that old school Seattle character. Does anyone else worry that if developers come in, they might sanitize it and make it too nice? Can you believe it? Seems like i am still trying to shake that New Year’s champagne hangover from ‘07, and here it is almost Christmas with New Year ‘08 just behind it! Boy, how time flies.. Ok, so i am willing to admit that personally i am feeling nowhere near ready for all this holiday hooplah. In spite of this, we managed to rope our very own sleigh load of goodies as it was flying down from the North Pole. Santa has taken really, really good care of us.

Ok, so not to beat a dead horse..i know i mentioned we have ornaments…but bear with me.. i need to gush some more about our selection. Everyones’ attic is probably filling up with more junk by the year.  The nice thing about the gifts we are carrying this holiday season? It isn’t junk! We’d like to encourage you to invest in merchandise that is heirloom quality. You know, goodies that you’d want to pass down to future generations.

Heather and I both feel the magnitude of this loss. Clearly Kanye West loved his mother a lot. We relate to that. Both of our mothers our still alive. Neither of us look forward to meeting this type of loss.

Donde West was an especially vibrant person. We thank her for raising and inspiring a talented artist. I don’t know either of them personally, but seeing them together in
this article in the Chicago Tribune said it all to me. Instantly i connected and felt the power of Kanye’s loss.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Kanye and your fans.
